Father Matters was founded in 1997 by Vance Simms, driven by his deep recognition of the critical need for positive fatherhood support. Having grown up without a father figure in his own life, Vance personally understands the challenges of fatherhood and the importance of strong, positive mentorship. His experiences led him to seek out role models and guidance, and this journey inspired him to create a program that offers the same support to fathers from all walks of life. Vance’s vision for Father Matters is to provide fathers with the tools, resources, and encouragement they need to become positive influences in their families, regardless of their circumstances. Vance currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
