Partner With Us

Partnering with Father Matters is a way we can change our communities together one family at a time.  We are excited about our current collaborations that we have in place throughout the community and look forward to future collaborations with those we have yet to meet.

It is a fact that researchers, educators, policy-makers and employers have in the past neglected men’s parenting role. However, today that trend is shifting now that enough research has been done to confirm that children of fatherless families have greater and earlier sexual activity, dramatically greater risk of drug and alcohol abuse, more mental illness, more suicide, higher rates of teen pregnancy, criminality, and sexual abuse. Our partnership with your organization will help us to empower even more fathers to know of where expertise and resources exist in their communities to help battle these parental challenges that they face on a daily basis.

That fact that children in fatherless homes are more likely to have suffered child abuse, confused identities (boys), more aggressive behavior (boys), more emotional distress, uncooperative behavior, more anxiety and depression (girls) and school suspensions is not something that has to be accepted as the rule in our society. These bleak statistics can and are being reversed thanks to all of the collaborations and partnerships that are currently working feverishly to address this epidemic of fatherless-ness. Research shows that when men embrace fatherhood as a positive personal trait, men tend to be more involved.  If they are shown how to value the paternal role, it becomes a major part of their self-identity, in turn, giving them a feeling of being competent as a parent.   As our communities form these valuable partnerships and begin solving problems together we will continue on raising up the men of this state and their families to a better life and future.

Contact us today if you are interested in partnering or supporting any of our particular programs.  There are still many men who are struggling in a variety of different situations who are working through personal issues by turning to drugs, alcohol, violence and other self-destructive behavior not knowing that help is a call away.

Father Matters believes that we will continue on seeing new ways of forming families and as that becomes commonplace in our society, we must know that new questions and challenges are going to arise.  How we prepare ourselves as providers of human services to the community will ultimately reflect our success in meeting the needs of  the men in our communities.  Part of the success of these men depends on how well we equip them in overcoming the challenges that the face with their families.

Your Legacy Lives On
Most of us want to leave a legacy but often postpone the planning, mandating the state's management of our estate. Through planned giving, you can actually increase benefits to your heirs and provide for the future of our organization. Your gift can take the form of cash, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, real estate and other similar assets. For information on planned giving, please contact your tax or legal advisor.

Special Events
Planning and coordinating a special event, such as auctions, book sales, carnivals, concerts, golf tournaments or raffles, can be an exciting and challenging experience. Because state law mandates that all charitable special events be registered with the charity.
